What’s the Difference Between an Initial Deep Cleaning and a Recurring Maintenance Cleaning?
One of the questions we get the most at Pura Vita Clean is:
“Why is the first cleaning more expensive than recurring cleanings?”
The answer is actually pretty simple.
When we come to your home for the very first time, we’re usually starting from scratch. Even in homes that are already “clean,” there’s often built-up dust, grease, soap scum, fingerprints, hidden dirt, and neglected areas that take extra time and attention to properly reset.
Our initial deep cleaning is designed to bring your home back to a high standard of cleanliness. Think of it as hitting the reset button.
During an initial deep cleaning, we focus on things like:
• Built-up grime in kitchens and bathrooms
• Dust on baseboards, blinds, vents, and hard-to-reach areas
• Soap scum and hard water buildup
• Fingerprints on doors, switches, and cabinets
• Areas that may not have been cleaned thoroughly in a while
This visit usually takes longer because we are detailing the home and catching up on areas that need extra love and attention.
Once the home is brought back to that fresh, clean baseline, recurring maintenance cleanings become much easier and faster.
Our recurring cleanings are meant to maintain the cleanliness, not completely restore it every time. Since we come regularly, dirt and buildup don’t have time to accumulate the same way.
That means:
• Less scrubbing
• Less buildup
• Faster visits
• More consistency
• A home that always feels fresh
Many of our clients tell us that after starting recurring services, they feel less stressed, more organized, and enjoy their home so much more because it never gets “out of control” again.
At Pura Vita Clean, we truly see recurring cleaning as teamwork. We do the heavy reset first, then we help you maintain that clean and peaceful feeling week after week.
And honestly… once you get used to coming home to a freshly cleaned house, it’s hard to go back. 🙂
